Contact UsWhat kind of dentures can I get?
- Partial Dentures are designed to fill in gaps created by a few missing teeth. They easily snap into place and should be cared for just like full dentures.
- Full Dentures are used to replace an entire arch of teeth. Traditional full dentures rest on top of the gums and can be stabilized with denture adhesive.
- Implant-Supported Dentures attach to a few implants that are placed in the jawbone, which helps the denture remain stable.
Are dentures difficult to eat with?
It will take a little while to get used to eating with dentures, especially if you are recovering from any dental extractions or implant placements at the same time. We recommend that patients stick to eating soft foods at first, and then try cutting their meals into small pieces and chewing with the back teeth. Once you get the hang of that, most patients are able to begin introducing all of their favorite foods back into their diets once again.
How are dentures taken care of?
They must be removed from the mouth and brushed with a soft-bristle toothbrush and denture cleaner at least once per day, every day, and then rinsed thoroughly before being placed back in the mouth. Dentures should be removed at night and soaked in denture solution. This is important, as they need to remain moist to maintain their custom shape. They are quite resistant to stains, but there are denture whitening products you can use to ensure that they look great for years.
